3D Food printing: Fresh and healthy food solution for dysphagia patients

Gastronology develops 3D food recipes, 3D food designs and 3D food printing technique for target groups dysphagia patients, children in age 4 to 12 and oncology patients. Early 2022, Gastronology will have an industrial 3d food printing solution ready with a capacity of 2,000 gram per minute.

In 2021, several consumer trials have been executed to optimize 3d food recipes. When the industrial printer is ready, Gastronology plans to launch its first series of 8 recipes early 2022.

Why should the delegate attend your presentation?
Gastronology will present solutions for serious problems: dysphagia patients can now enjoy delicious and healthy food. Children are being offered irresistible food solutions for vegetables. Personalized nutrition via 3d food printing should enable oncology patients to enjoy food again.

What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?
A requirement for launching 3D food in the market, is to have an industrial 3D food printer. Our first prototype will be ready in November 2021.

What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
People who suffer from eating disorder are bing brought back to the table, will enjoy eating food together with others, will be more vivid with increased health.

What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
A difficult sales channel for care centers. Limited or no additional budget for food for dysphagia patients.
