Biofabrication strategies for osteochondral tissue regeneration

Is the title of the presentation by Assistant Professor Veerle Bloemen, KU Leuven Campus Group T, where her research focuses on integrating biofabrication technologies into the production of cell-based implants for skeletal tissue regeneration.In 2001,Veerle Bloemen started her studies Engineering Technology at the University College Campus Group T, now part of KU Leuven, Belgium. After her master degree, she did a PhD at the faculty of Dentistry of the VU Amsterdam (The Netherlands), from which she graduated in 2010.

Back in Belgium, she completed a tenure track at the faculty of Engineering Technology. Since 2019, she is working as an associate professor at the Department of Materials Engineering of KU Leuven, Belgium. Her research focuses on integrating biofabrication technologies into the production of cell-based implants for skeletal tissue regeneration.
