Every organisation needs a Business Development activity
Innovation is renewal that is expressed in products, services, processes, or organisational structures. Innovation leads to sustainable economic added value and uses knowledge to solve social problems. Innovating is people-based and does not only require technological development. Innovation equally depends on factors, such as management, logistics, and marketing; particularly in the services sector. Source: Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs

Business Development is not synonymous with innovation, although it forms part of it.
We believe that innovation can take place on the market side and on the inside of an organisation. On the market side, innovation could mean developing new product/market combinations, marketing new technology or products, developing new geographical markets or application areas for new or existing products, etc. Innovation can also relate to the operating processes - using innovative ICT to improve your own process, using new technology for production or processing, using new logistics and control methods for your own processes. All of this is innovation, but as it does not happen in the market, it is not part of business development. Innovation is not only allied to R&D or technology.
We do not wish to pretend that Business Development is the only key to innovation or that you can have an exclusive claim on it. However, the reverse is true - a truly integral innovative organisation or sector cannot do without Business Development activities to market its ideas or to look for new markets and applications!

Every organisation needs a Business Development activity, but not every organisation has a Business Development officer. Jakajima has a wealth of experience in the telecommunications, ICT, and consumer-electronics sector in particular. In that world we can support organisations with their business development by using our knowledge and our extensive network.

Jakajima is independent, because we do not have an interest in the products/services that are to be marketed. We do not sell hardware and we do not sell software. Our only objective is to provide clarity and to develop opportunities for our clients.

By offering a broad range of services, Jakajima has acquired a strong network of partners and associate companies, which means the necessary expertise - should it not be available in house - can be found and deployed quickly.

If you would like to find out more about our services, please do not hesitate to contact us.
