CECIMO Partners with the 3D Printing Electronics Conference in Eindhoven 20 January 2015

The second edition of the 3D Printing Electronics Conference, to be held on 20 January 2015 at High Tech Campus Eindhoven, The Netherlands will put forward CECIMO’s partnership. Representatives of the association will make interventions to demonstrate the relation between electronics, additive manufacturing and the machine tool industry.

This conference showcases CAD/Hybrid AM machine tooling and manufacturing processes involving electronics and composites materials.

While additive manufacturing (AM) was initially used to produce limited-functionality models and prototypes, in recent years there has been a growing trend to adopt AM as a full-scale manufacturing solution to increasing market requirements of mass customization.

CECIMO, the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries, is the point of reference in the area of metallic based additive manufacturing vis-à-vis EU policy-makers and contributes to the making of policy and regulations with a view to creating the right framework conditions for the development of metallic based additive manufacturing in the EU.

CECIMO launched in September 2014 its AM Working Group, involving the 15 European national machine tool association, which aims at raising awareness on additive manufacturing by participating in related EU projects and worldwide standard bodies such as ASTM F42, that CECIMO recently joined as organizational member.
